Skate Like a Girl hosted their 6th Annual “Wheels of Fortune” female skateboarding showcase on May 3rd at All Together Skatepark in Seattle, WA. More than just a contest, Wheels of Fortune is weekend hangout bringing together the largest group of female skaters around the world. Crews came out from Seattle, Portland, SF Bay Area plus skaters from from Arizona, Colorado, Detroit, UK & Austria. The weekend fun was properly kicked off with a welcome party at Hilliard’s Beer on Friday night with a performance by Skitch, a punk band consisting of all female skaters Kristin Ebeling, Shari White and Ambika Terhanian. On Saturday, over 70 girls met up for a session, took over Green Lake skatepark and then split up to session different skateparks and street spots around the city. On contest day Sunday, all ages and abilities were included: groms, beginners, intermediate, pro, and 30+ with a record breaking 70 girls competing in the contest.
